American Murray Grey Association
Purebred Breeding Stock Show Standards
In an effort to ensure the greatest ease of admission
to the showring for the greatest number of Murray Grey cattle, and to
ensure that all Murray Grey cattle in the United States are shown under
the exact same show standards, the American Murray Grey Association
sets forth the following show standards:
All exhibitors must be a current member of the American
Murray Grey Association or the Canadian Murray Grey Association
Animals must be registered with the American Murray Grey
Association or the Canadian Murray Grey Association
Only purebred, registered Murray Greys with a legible
tattoo are eligible to show
All cattle must conform to the breed
characteristics published by the American Murray Grey Association
Registered Murray Greys must conform to state health regulations and
health requirements of the specific show in which they are entered
Percentage Murray Greys may be shown in “other breed”
classes or in classes designated as “Murray Grey Percentage”
Percentage females and steers shall be exempt from color and horn standards
All rules of the American Murray Grey Association, Reno,
Nevada apply
All exhibitors of Murray Grey cattle shall sign and adhere
to the Code of Show Ring Ethics
adopted by the AMGA Board of Directors.
There are to be no changes or additional restrictions
placed upon show eligibility by show committees, show chairs or regional
associations without prior approval of the American Murray Grey Association
Board of Directors.
Complaints or questions of eligibility for registration
