Pedigree Registration TutorialHow To Fill Out The Form |
AMGA's Pedigree
Registration is the traditional "by the calf" method of
registering cattle. In this system, members decide which calves they want
to register.
Members using this system do not need to submit birth, weaning or yearling
weights.
Calves can be registered anytime after birth.
The Pedigree Registration
documents the ancestry of the calf and helps establish
the value of the registered animal above that of commercial cattle. In American
Murray Grey cattle, there is no discrimination in value between cattle registered
in the Pedigree Registry and those registered in the Group BreedPlan system.
All
pedigree information is stored in the same digital and printed databases.
